Our film opens with a highly stylised trailer, in a similar way to how ‘Scrooged’ (1988) begins. The trailer is for the worst sitcom idea ever, where four family members enter a new family home, but only one can leave alive.
After this trailer has played the film transitions to a TV Commissioners office, who then chucks out the person pitching the sitcom idea. We’re looking for an actor to play the Dad character in the trailer.
You must be great with facial expressions, comedy experience a bonus but not essential.
Synopsis
“B-Movie,” is a comedy feature film where an out of work TV writer is talked into producing a feature film by his best friend, who funds the movie.
Whilst the writer is out to make the best film he possibly can, his friend cuts corners at every opportunity. So much so that he decides that they much work with an amateur dramatics society, who could provide a venue and actors for free. During filming the pair step over an accident with an actor, which ultimately leads the theatre company to pull out, sending the writer on a journey to discover what friendship and community are really about.
Production Stills
95% of the movie has already been filmed. We expect post-production to be completed by February 2024 (or sooner)
